Slot it Up! (“we”, “us”) operates the Slot it Up! website and mobile app that let you discover and book salons, spas, barbers, clinics and other local services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Slot it Up! you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account & contact: your phone number (used to sign in via OTP), and optionally your name, email and profile photo.
  • Bookings & activity: appointments you make, reviews you write, favourites, loyalty points, referrals and support messages.
  • Location:with your permission, your device’s approximate or precise location is used only to show providers near you and sort by distance. We do not track your location in the background.
  • Uploaded images: photos you choose to upload (e.g. a profile picture, or, for partners, shop photos and a UPI QR image).
  • Technical: basic device/usage data and anonymous, aggregated performance and analytics metrics to keep the service fast and reliable.

How we use your information

  • To create your account and authenticate you.
  • To show nearby providers, take bookings, and send booking confirmations, reminders, cancellations and offers by in-app notification and email.
  • To run loyalty points, referrals and reviews.
  • To provide partner/admin dashboards and customer support.
  • To keep the service secure and improve performance.

Payments

Slot it Up! does not process card payments. When a shop has enabled UPI, you pay the shop directly through your own UPI app, or you pay at the venue. We only store a partner’s UPI ID/QR so it can be shown to you; we never see your bank or UPI credentials.

How information is shared

  • With the provider you book: your name and booking details are shared with the salon/shop so they can serve you.
  • Service providers we use: cloud hosting (Vercel), our API server, email delivery, map tiles (OpenStreetMap), and a content delivery network (jsDelivr backed by a public repository) that serves images you or partners upload. Images uploaded to the public media store are publicly accessible by their link.
  • We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices & rights

  • You can grant or deny location permission at any time in your device settings.
  • You can edit your profile, manage favourites, and view your bookings and reviews in the app.
  • You can request access to or deletion of your account data by emailing us (below).
  • You may opt out of non-essential emails using the controls in the app.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, access controls, two-factor authentication for staff) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

Slot it Up! is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
